Our 14″ shamanic drums are uniquely designed, 1 of 1. No painting is the same! Materials: Goat Skin, Sacred Cedar, Acrylic Paint. The cedar hoops are handmade, fairly strong and quite lightweight. The people in community are what constitutes the main elements of ceremonial moments. With the sound of the drum, not only do doors open to other realities, but it is a simple and accessible healing strategy, from which everyone can benefit.

THE HISTORY OF THE DRUM

Legend AbenakySe says that when Tunkashila (the Grandfather Universe) was giving a place for all the spirits that inhabit, and that took part in the habitability of Mother Earth, a sound was heard, a loud explosion, from afar in the distance. As Tunkashila heard it, the sound kept coming more and more until it was finally right in front of the Creator; “Who are you?” asked the Creator. “I am the spirit of the drum,” was the reply. I have come to ask you to allow me to participate in these wonderful things. “How will you participate?” The Creator questioned. “I would like to accompany the singing of the people. When it is sung from the Heart, I will sing as if it were the heartbeat of Mother Earth. In this way, all creation will sing in harmony.” Tunkashila agreed to the request, and from then on, the drum was accompanied by people’s voices. Throughout all the original people of the world, the drum is the center of all songs. It is the catalyst for the spirit of the songs, to rise up with the Creator, so that the prayers of the songs get to where they are meant to go. At all times, the sound of the drum bring integrity, respect, enthusiasm, solemnity, strength, courage and the fulfillment of the songs. It is about the heartbeat of the Mother giving approval to those who live in her. The Eagle embraces that Medicine, and carries its message to the Creator. This is how people’s lives are changed.
